Disciplemaker

Being a disciple-maker doesn’t have to be complicated. In its simplest form, discipleship is becoming like Jesus while helping someone else to become like Jesus. It is constructing relationships with Kingdom purpose. Whether you walk alongside someone for years or just for a season, your faith flourishes best when you encourage others to grow in theirs. You don’t have to know everything, just be intentional to shine a light where you have already been.
 
How do you get started?
1. Pray:  The Spirit of God has put this on your heart, so take time to pray and ask who you can invite in a friendship to learn and grow together.  If you ask and wait, he will reveal the person.
2. An invitation:  Invite the person to your house or out to coffee and share what the Lord has put on your heart and ask them if they want to join you.
3. A Location: Pick a time and a place to meet regularly (Meet at least 1x time per month, but 2x per month is recommended).
4. A Plan: Always take time to talk about the challenges and joys of life and how God relates to it. Take time to pray for one another. Choose a way to learn Truth together:
  • Pick a book of the Bible, read it during the week, and discuss
  • Read a Jesus-centered book and discuss together
  • Utilize a discipleship video option (Rightnow media) and talk through it together – use the study guide included.
