The Problem of Pain and Suffering in the World

How could a good God allow so much pain and suffering in the world? 

Love is who God is and describes our deepest desire in life. 

Love does not exist without freedom. 

God’s gift of freewill results in a world of both goodness and pain. 

Pain and suffering are: 

Sometimes the result of our bad choices and sin 

Sometimes the result of other people’s bad choices and sin 

Always a result of a broken and sinful world 

There is no love without freedom; there is no freedom without pain
