Real Women, Real Talk

Our Women's Ministry is hosting an event for women, led by women.  The format will be two, 90-minute panel discussions. The first panel will cover end-of-life matters. Panelists will include an attorney, a hospice nurse practitioner, and a retired social worker. The second panel will cover financial freedom and how to get it. The panelists will include a financial advisor and two women who have overcome financial challenges. We will allow plenty of time for you to ask questions of the panelists. Feel free to invite other women you would like to attend the event with you.

Panel 1- Encourage people to have real conversations with their loved ones about:
  • End of life wishes
  • Medical emergencies
  • How to ensure we never sacrifice what people really care about
  • Advance directives on health care (e.g., health care power of attorney, DNR/living will)

Panel 2 - Encourage, empower, and equip women’s financial freedom with topics including:
  • What is financial freedom and how do you get it?  
  • Budgets, emergency funds, eliminating debt 
  • Investing and compounding
  • Designating beneficiaries
  • Wills, durable power of attorney (financial and legal matters)
  • Protecting yourself from identity theft/fraud 

The Schedule:
  • 8:45 - 9:15       Check-in
  • 9:15 -10:45      Panel 1 – What matters in the end 
  • 10:45 - 11:30   Brunch/lunch
  • 11:30 - 1:00     Panel 2 – Financial Freedom
